Rockport Students Realize Dream to Install Wind Turbine at School

About 100 students at Camden Hills Regional High School known as "The WindPlanners" worked for eight years to bring it about: their school's wind turbine is now generating power. The turbine is saving the school approximately $18,000 per month in electricity costs.

Former high school teacher and WindPlanners adviser Rob Lovell said, "They knew all along that this was possible. It was their dream. These students really believe they can change things.”
